Madurai Collector to take action against Asir

The following is a gist of a news item by Mr. L.Srikrishna that appeared on page 4 of "THE HINDU" daily dated 29 Dec 2011.


On following complaints, the Madurai District Administration is determined to take action as per law against CSI Bishop Christopher Asir (along with few other bigwigs) for encroaching upon government land or selling the assigned land for monetary gain. The district administration has summoned Asir through a notice to appear in person on January 4 at 11 a.m.
It is alleged that the CSI Bishop Asir had sold a piece of land (assigned by the government for a specific purpose), which is a violation of law.
