A student of American College has left a new comment on the post "Bishop Asir's Death and My Prayer":
Dear administrator please post my following comment as a seperate post students are really suffering alot because of this issue -
The atrocities of the guys who are the henchmen of joel(the son of the late bishop) grows day by day in the campus. Their first onstage performance was the unleashing of violence on March 14, 2011. They gained confidence and momentum from that act of so called “BRAVERY”. I like to make it clear that it is not the student’s fault alone. If u give the authority to be in command of the activities of an educational campus with rowdism this will be the outcome.
I really pity for these gentlemen because getting an admission for b.com in regular stream is no easy task in The American College. But now because of the ruthless naked self interest of some individuals these student's life, character and career were lost. They claim themselves to be the dons of the college nowadays.
No girl is able to cross their sight without getting verbally abused they are not ready to spare the post graduate students too because in their view all are their victims since these dons or the powerhouse of the college. Most of the students feel that it is none of their business to argue with them or may think it is a waste of time or it will harm their own dignity therefore they are left unquestioned.
Even if a staff interferes in their proceedings he will be manhandled at this juncture I like to remind the condition of a professor who tried his best to pacify these dons on the day of Christmas celebration (Dec 19, 2011). They still continue their legacy even after that incident which was a dishonor to our college.
“AS WE SOW SO WE REAP” you gave them the weapon and the license to destruct know it is your turn to answer to their weapon. We are eager to see how you are going to answer. It’s a shame that now no professor has the guts to question them.
I write this with a broken heart, some questions flashed in my mind when thinking of this issue they are what values can we give to our next generation? Even now we started hearing that American college WAS a good college. What are we going tell about our college to our successors?
Yes of course American college proclaims liberal Christian education but liberty to this extent is ridiculous. “LIBERTY IN ITSELF MEANS RESPONSIBILTY”.
Whoever the management and administration may be this is not a good sign of student behavior in a college which is called as the best college in the city. Dear principal aspirants we beg you from the bottom of our heart to curb this menace created by these thugs from our dear college. We want back the college which taught as life and values.
We will surely respect and be thankful if essential steps are taken.
We love our college and wish to serve humanity for evermore. I like to end my lament with the vision statement of REV.ZUMBRO to examine ourselves and find out how are we doing justice to this?
“AMERICAN COLLEGE MUST GROW WITH MADURAI AND MADURAI MUST GROW WITH AMERICAN COLLEGE”
