The real painful pinch for money was felt on the evening of 30th of Sept.. Based on this experience it was considered to go out to our alumni and friends of American College for financial help.

On 13th a meeting was convened with Principal Dr. Chinnaraj Joseph and Principal-in-charge Dr. Anbudurai. The other members were:

Since IPAC is looking after the broader and overall activities of the struggle, it was felt that a separate smaller group should take care of collecting donations for the struggle and keeping correct accounts of the same. For this the above 8 were asked to be the members of JUSTICE FOR AMERICAN COLLEGE – GROUP (JAC-G). Three of these members were selected as Convener-(Joseph Rathnasamy,MD, Germanus Inn), Secretary - (Mr.Sam George) and Treasurer - (Mr. David Gerald – Lawyer).

Legalities and other modalities were decided after due consultation with legal experts. It was decided to accept the helping hand extended by the “CENTRE FOR PROMOTION OF SOCIAL CONCERNS”. The CPSC is a subsidiary of “People’s Watch” a reputable Human Rights Organization. Collecting donations through this institution is found to be the better option.
