A FRIEND IN NEED ...

Deepavali was just another 4 days away. But our staff had not received their salary for that month. This put our non-teaching staff in a lot of monetary strain. Efforts to raise some loan from the banks did not bear fruit. Other methods were tried by our staff. Luckily an alumnus and personal friend of Prof. Prabhakar of Tamil Dept. Dr. GOPLAKRISHNAN came to our rescue. He had advanced Rs. 2.5 lakhs. No questions asked; no coditions laid. This money was then disbursed by Dr. Anbudurai, the principal-in-charge to the non-teaching staff who are steadfastly standing for the college all along.
