The fighting faculty and non-teaching set an example to our nation as it is a fight against commercialization and criminalization of education and the threat to private institutions by thugs in the name of 'minority' heads.
Its high time to enact appropriate legislation to protect institutions like The American College from vested interests.
The issue is snowballing and support for the fighting faculty, non-teaching staff and students is coming from many different corners.
Dr. Subramanian Swamy, president of Janata party met the press on Sunday (27-03-2011). His interaction with media pertaining to the American College is given below.

CHURCHES of South India (CSI) Madurai-Ramnad Diocese A Christopher Asir had been harbouring his allies in the American College to disrupt the management (with a motive of rooking its property), charged Subramanian Swamy, president, Janata party, here on Sunday.
Talking to reporters, Swamy said that a high level committee had been constituted to look into the issues prevailing in the college. However, the committee has NOT taken any action (it has not even started its inquiry process).
After assembly elections are over, Swamy said that the issue will be brought up in the Assembly. A new law to save such institutions will be mooted, he added.
